I ain't really a big fan of sunroof.

I had it on my old Maxima and the MPV as well. I really use it anyway.

I haven't even tried the sunroof since I picked it up on Monday evening. I do wish the car does not come with the sunroof even with the GT package.

I think the arching tilt design makes the roof look more aggressive, but it's at the expense of any water on the roof draining into the cabin. A very minimal function vs. form battle. I keep the roof tilted in my max when there's a light rain falling, or in the winter when there's snow/ice on the roof, and just because it slightly tilts upwards instead of back and up, it can still drain into paths on the roof.

Personally though, my 8 would be a sport pkg at best, no sunroof.

Sunroof

The sunroof does enhance without a doubt the sporty edgy sexy genesequa of the car. My first, a 90 gtu did not have the sunroof. I always use to see 7's with it and always wanted it. It really does make the car look better........the slide back hidden versions are fine, I guess when push comes to shove the 8 really is more of a sports car more than a luxury vehicle albeit like a hybrid.

Does the sunroof self retract at high speeds? I had a turbo beetle that would do this at about 90 miles per hour or so.

Yes it does. I noticed that mine self retracted the other day when I hit 163 mph on interstate 5. Good feature
