Sunroof Leaking!!!
So i took my rx8 Saturday for the sunroof recall, because the rattle was annoying, and i barely got a chance to pick it up yesterday, and when i got back to work it was raining, after work was out and all, i walked up to it, and noticed moisture on the inside of all the windows!!! im pissed now, and there was water (not much) but still in the tray on top! im going back to Mazda today. the closest dealer is 30 minutes from my house.has anyone else had the sunroof recall done?
i just needed to vent, thanks

It sounds like you're still in warranty, they have to fix it...end of story...

Extraordinary Engineering
Typical issues with the Mazda 'techs' work on the sunroof are;
Sunroof panel installed backwards
Sunroof panel not level with roof
Your issue I've not heard before. If you want to save the trip...
Have a look at the seals to see if one edge is compressed more than the other. (if the seal is damaged then go back to the dealer) You can re-align the sunroof panel by loosening the four bolts (two per side) that hold the panel to the rails. Do this with the sunroof in the closed position. The seals will hold the sunroof panel well centered so all you have to do is hold it at the right height and tighten the bolts. It take a bit of fiddling but it works well.

Turns out it was the windshield glass leaking up by the headliner. Long story short, I got a new free windshield from Mazda factory Warranty.
So I would wager that its your windshield that got shifted when they were working on your sunroof, just like mine.

that sucks! as soon as i got it back, one side looked more depressed, than before, i knew something was gonna be wrong, i tested this when i got home, got a little bit of water and poured over the seal, and surely, the water was seeping into the seal, i was furious,
thanks for all the help guys, its good to know some people actually helped instead of bitching at me for asking a question
