Success story
Success story
So I went to the stealership because my car was dying at idle. I was guessing it was new engine time because I have an 04 mt with 67000 miles on it. They did a few tests before the compression test and found out my ssv was stuck. I told them I would fix it myself but I still wanted them to do a compression test to check my engine. Only $60 surprisingly. So they checked it. I got these readings. Rotor 1 119.7 120.4 120.9 at 285 rpms. Rotor 2 120.8 120.8 121.3 at 280 rpms. I was very pleasantly surprised since this is just as good as a reman engine. Just thought I would share a success story on the first engine of an 04 since we don't here about them too much on here. Btw I unclogged the ssv and it runs like a dream.
I just put the k&n filter on maybe 1000 miles ago. But other than that completely stock. I haven't premixed or anything. I honestly wasn't doing anything to prevent engine failure because I assumed it was on its way out when I got it since he didn't do anything to prevent it. So now its time to start premixing.
Ok now to get to the questionable you asked me in the other thread. I'm actually the second owner. First guy was an older guy and I don't think he redlined it often. But I try to redline it often. It has had regular oil changes her whole life. I changed the spark plugs wires and coils right when I got it. But that was the first time coils were changed. And they were pretty bad. And it has had all the recalls done right a way.
