Not available here in the US as far as I know. Congrats though, that's my favorite color for the car.

Had a prior discussion about this last week: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-exterior-appearance-body-kits-27/dark-blue-color-41153/ . Do post pictures when you get a chance.

Looks a lot like the Monte Carlo Blue on my S2000, maybe a little darker. Monte Carlo Blue isn't available on S2000's in the U.S. so I wnet and had it painted. I'd like to see a U.S. RX8 in that Strato Blue.

If you look at the picture of the front of the car, what're those things under the headlights? Do they have front headlight washers on their 8's???

Wonder why some of these things (like the strato blue) never crossed the pond...

If they offered that, my wife would definitely make us a 2 RX-8 family.
Oh well.....let someone else haul the rugrats to soccer!

Yes- the US market is the only one not to get the washers

In the UK we get Xenon HID headlights as standard on the high power (230bhp) 6 speed manual. By law (european) Xenons have to come with washers.

We also get the Bose 6cd stereo and climate control too, rear fog light , side mirror puddle lights and aly pedal set as standard.

The Stratos blue is sweet, I did consider swaping my tit grey for one.. We dont get the white car (eew) or chaperal leather tho at all.

Yes, Strato Blue's a mica paint.

It's just been released here in Australia as well.
The colour is a common Mazda colour since it's available on the 2,3,6 and now 8.

Looks good on the 8, but I still would have liked to have had the option of white.

$40K USD?

If so, that's about the same as here in Australia.

Nice, but too common, I'd still take the unique W. blue anyday

US $40,000?? Dear Lord, that's a little hefty. I only paid US $23,500 for mine. For the extra $16,500, I can do without the rear fog light and the headlight washers! I pity you guys for having to pay so much but I respect that you guys apparently loved the car that much to buy it!

I also agree with Genesis. Although I haven't seen the strato blue in person, I much prefer the winning blue.
