sure is strange there is only 1 rx8 listed so far. i wonder if the other dealers just have not called their customers or if his is the only one delivered? i have not heard any confirmation about any other rx8s being available yet....

Dealer just called "Rick Case Mazda - Georgia". The just got in 1 velocity red RX-8, cloth, no accessories.

They said I could come down and "look" at it. Nobody drives it as "Mazda owns it and it's on loan".

So if you've never seen it and you're in the area I suppose you could swing by. She said she expects my pre-order will come in tomorrow or Monday.

 

It may be that the other people who have received cars have not found this forum... or they are just too busy driving them to post

Since it is Friday, it may be that many more will be available for Monday delivery as well.

 

I think it's more likely that only a small percentage of preorder customers are forum members. There are likely quite a few being delivered today, just not to us.

 

Forum members should be first.

I love it!! It's red, metal, shiny, & says RX-8 on it! Wait... you guys are talking about the coffee cup and thermos right.... right?

 

yeah i received mine..ohhh shinnnny...it works great...keeps my tea hot for a few hours!! and the magaxzine is great to read while im at work...

well i had our pdi manager call the trucking company to see if there were going to be any after hours deliveries (so we can plan for somebody to be here and according to the truck driver manager person. he says he has 4 trucks loaded and ready to deliver to 4 different dealers and there are a few other companies with trucks loaded also but they have not received an ok from mazda to release them, he says the trucks have been loaded since thursday expecting to go today but the release never happened. he is upset because it is delaying his drivers now. he is hopping for monday to deliver becasue the trucks are already loaded it is holding up delivery of other vehicles. so i have no idea how/why 3rotor got his car today when nobody else has been able too, and the drivers cant even deliver them yet....

 

That's kinda messed up. I'll bet it's Mazda's little way of trying to cure everyone's case of the "mondays." I guess released meant released to be loaded onto a truck... Maybe 3Rotor had some inside connections, a truck slipped through, or maybe he's just snowing us to get the first pic....

Oh well, they'll all be here soon enough... I may have to drive to Austin after work on Monday - that'd be a great way to start the week - and spend a few paychecks.

 

yeah it is kinda messed up. i got no work done today because i was waiting for the car. oh well whats a few more days....

How does only 1 car get delivered from the Dealer? All the conspiracies are making the summer pass by quicker at least.

 

Considering the fact that his car is part of some kind of show this weekend, you might not be too far off.
