i think the rotary accents just glue on. sounds like you could do it yourself. the strakes can be installed pretty easily too.

aziza I am around the Coral Gables area. I only talked to mydealer I got my Rx8from so maybe other Mazda deals have them. Right now I will wait for the debit card from Mazda first before I buy any accessories.

accents look much better imo. I mean like members have said, it should have came standard. RX8 has to come with accents to add that rotary feel. hehe.

The chrome accents are an option on the RX-8 from the dealer. That is how I got mine!

I like them both but in different scenarios. Here goes:

1. I prefer the rotary accents (front and back) only if I were not getting the appearance package. I personally like the way the rotary emblem is color coded to the car if you get the appearance package. I'd also add the rear spoiler and the exhaust finishers.

2. I would get the fender strakes with or without the appearance package. So if I didn't get the appearance package, I would get strakes and the rotary accents along with rear spoiler. Again, can't forget the exhaust finishers.

On a side note, I wish that Mazda would have done somehing with the back of the car as it pertains to hiding the black plastic area at the very end near/around the exhaust finishers. If this area were color coded and then you add the strakes, accents, and finishers and then top it off with the appearance package, rear spoiler, and front splash gaurds...That would be on sweet mother!!!
