Strakes or Accents?

I want to add some eye candy to my 8 in the form of strakes or accent package. For now it has to be one or the other. If it were your decision which would you choose?

One more vote for strakes - they should be standard equipment IMO.

I think accents are out of stock, I ordered two months ago and they are due in next week. So I think the most available item on your list is the strakes, and they do look great. If your strapped for money, I bought the RX-8 badge thats on the back of the car for $15.00 from the dealer, and put it on my front grille with hot glue, and it looks real sharp too. Now that the weathers better, I been meaning to post a picture of the addition.

depends on the colour of the car. However I have ordered Silver and I still think now after seeing one, that they look great even on that colour.

Question is, do they stay on in a car wash?!

Oh yah, no problem. They're held on by screws and washers from the back of the vent, and then are held in place by super-sticky double sided tape onto the car. Once the tape has cured, it's extremely strong.

By far the accents add more to the car.

I have the accents not the strakes. I feel the rotary accents are very original.

Where did you find the accents? I haven't seen them listed anywhere. They look cool. How much?

I've searched all of these sites. I was referring to the accents in the picture on the black 8 where the fender strakes attach. I appears that on that car there are chrome or polished aluminum. Or, is this a self done job by the owner?

I thinkhaving the accent in the front and back of the Rx8 is like how a Mustang has a polishedpony on the front of it. I asked a parts guy for them two weeksago and he said Mazda wont send any out for a few months so justget the strakes.
