Hi all, I'm strongly considering replacing my 05 Mazdaspeed MX-5 with an 06 or newer RX-8. While searching cars.com I came across this 06 with a white interior. It this stock? http://tinyurl.com/7v7otm

correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like a sport model that has had the wheels "polished" or in other words buffed out, with a custom interior. If it was a shinka, the inserts in the seats would be leather, and the interior would be more of a sand color. I think...

 

nope, it is indeed a whitewater pearl shinka, i believe the shinka wheels were more polished than the stock models, and 06 was the first version of that interior, so yes, it is stock

 

That shifter makes my hands feel nasty and greasy just thinking about it.

That looks like the owner bought some Shinka interior parts and replaced the OEM seats, etc. Shinka's have ALL tan interior if I'm not mistaken.

 

yes that is an 06 wwp shinka. how do i know? because that looks exactly like my 8, I can get interior pics up if you'd like.

 

those aren't white. It's stock shinka interior.

 

That's one greasy Shinka! Shinka wheels have a cool finish, those look they are in need of some TLC though. Lots of tire shine overspray?

they dont look the same to me. check the leather on the seats. the wwp has perforated cloth.

 

that's definitely the '06 wwp shinka. the material used on the seat is different than the '05 shinka. i think it might be alcantara. the wheels are right, too. the shinka have *polished* wheels that look almost a little bit matte. looks really good. i never realized how pretty these are. the wheels are a little dirty on this one tho. mileage is pretty low. i'd check it out in person, but looks pretty good

Yeah, I probably would have searched for an '06 WWP Shinka if I had realized that prior to purchase. Found out a couple months after. The 06' Shinka had several different colors, though the '06 Copper Red Shinka is considered the 'true '06 Shinka' since it is the only '06 Shinka color that isn't available on non-Shinka '06's.

Although if you want a white interior, this is the best I have ever seen. Makes me drool on my keyboard.
