Stock 6 speed Suspension Opinions

After reading many articles about how the RX8 absorbs bumps very well and provides a nice ride, I sometimes think my 6 speed RX8 may be too tightly sprung. If I'm going through a turn at good speed and hit a small bump the car seems to skip a beat as if catching air and land back down hard. It doesn't slide much but it sure doesn't absorb the bump much. Anyone else have this happen? Is it inevitable with sportscars? Or is my suspension too tight for stock? It's also a little bumpy on the freeway. Any replies welcome. Thanks.

My 8 is equipped with the Sport Package and 6-speed manual transmission. I would have to say that the ride is firm, but not outrageously firm (like the 350Z). The 8 is a for-real roadster/sports car, therefore I don't expect it to ride like a sedan or my SUV.

My 8 used to skip. The skip was caused by the suspension being too soft. In hard coners I'd be on the bump stop so any further deflection (like a pot hole) would cause the car to skip off line a few feet. I added RB springs and sways to cure the problem or you could always slow down
