7 years into owning mine and I still adore it. Pure and simple, I adore every second I spend behind the wheel of that car, period. No other car I've owned, including three RX-7s (two FBs and an FC) has been as endearing to me.

In the summer, epic car.
In the winter, not so much.

2 years of ownage. 2004 VR GT still mint. Still love it more and more everyday. Ironically, as more things go wrong, I love it even more.

FYI: 23109VC, I don't know if you get snow where you live. The stock tires are unusable even in light snow. Have winter tires standing by or slap on all seasons rated decently in the snow, like Continental DWS or Bridgestone Pole Positions (forgot code).

With winter tires, the RX-8 is a champ in the snow. Can climb inclines where WRX STi's with their summer tires can't (it's quite sad how some owners appear to be clueless about the tires their cars come with).

I live in southern CA.... No Dniester and lots if sun... Which wad why my boxster was such a fun car.. Its top down driving almost all year... But the Porsche is gone... It was fun.. But I wouldn't buy another one unless I could afford to buy a much newer one and avoid all the expensive repairs.

If o get an rx8, it will be an R3.. It will be a daily driver. I only commute 10 miles each way to work..

My rl is a nice car, but I think I need something more fun.

One thing o Luke and will miss is the integrated nav. I can push steering wheel button and say "find nearest gas station" or "find nearest
coffee Shop" and it finds it and maps it for me... I know there is no nav in the r3, but thre is Bluetooth.

I have an iPhone.. Is there a good phone holder and axqay to integrate the phone nav.. Or do to guys just put a garmin or tom-tom in the car? I am directionally challenged and need nav in my car! How did u set it up and mount it?

^you gotta be joking right?? Neptune speed...Rotary Reliability...JRX...hell, BHR might as well move down here since they're here so often. All these shops are local to Socal.

Not to mention there's a huge local community with a good amount of experience with the car that can help you...
