When I think of Lisbon Portugal, I think of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.......narrow streets, limited parking, aggressive drivers, smaller car the better, expect door dings and scratches and handprints and fender benders.

I would never drive an RX8 in a small town like San Miguel, a small town, I would get a disposable and reliable no-frills car, so I would think a big town like Lisbon the conditions would be similar.

They do say patience is a virtue........... But then, I never claimed to be virtuous! Just done the deal on my second RX8. Different pricing in the UK, but this baby is the same as the old one in looks, Winning Blue and full leather. Got the 231 this time, last one was a 192, so can't wait to find the differences! Got no body kit on this one (did on old one) but it's new (43) miles and pre-registered so it's £18k instead of £24k, bit of a difference and enough to drop it into my price bracket with the trade on the old one. I'm now looking for a decent body kit (UK) based and interested in performance enhancers. Any practical ideas out there guys?

Whhops.....just noticed you found one. Regarding my last comment, just be carefull driving in central Lisbon.

When I drove my Expedition down to San Miguel, in the central district a lot of the itty bitty 4 cylynder economy car drivers apparently didn't appreciate my biggie taking up all that space.....I got more fender rubs and door dings in 10 days than I have here in 5 years, so just be carefull parking that beautiful new car down there, some people just get jealous.

Anyway, congratulation for you!

It's gonna be great summer here in europe
It's not imported, it's a "national" one It's gonna cost me around 25500€, but the shape it's in, first registry from november 2005... and 8k miles... it's like buying a new one

Definitely, a great summer here

Thanks for the concern, but I usually don't take my car to the "central lisbon" you're talking about, where all the bars are. THe rest of the city has pretty large avenues so it's pretty safe (specially near my gf's house, she has a neighbour with a rx-8 [on which I drool everytime I pass by, of course] and it's always parked in the street and hasnt got a single scratch on it), but you can be absolutely sure I'm gonna treat my baby like it's made of crystal, if you know what I mean

Greetz,
G

Lol just had to comment this. I live in Norway and guess what we gotta pay for a new Rx-8 here? :D Cheapest 192 hp version for around 81 000 euro or 115 000 USD. And that's calculated with the current lowass dollar O_O The cheapest used ones starts from around 53 000 USD and 38 000 euro. Importing one would be even more expensive due to the unimaginable high taxes lol. Be lucky that most of you guys live in the US ^^

Guys really

Don't baffle the poor guy, i really wanted a 231 but a cheap 192 came up. I drove it and enjoyed the drive so i had that instead of a 231. After being in a friends 231 I noticed very little difference and that my 192 with the better ratios was faster mid range and overtaking! Just some food for thought.
