IMO, the cloth seats are by far the nicest cloth seats i've seen in any vehicle. and cloth is easier to care for than leather, and they stay cooler than leather in the summer too.

I got just the Sports package and am lovin' it. The cloth seats are a microfiber fabric, and I really like how microfiber feels. They also don't get nearly as hot in the summer as leather (my last car had leather - these are comfier). Bose sound is ALWAYS overpriced and overrated, in my opinion. I've never understood why there are so many Bose fans. Good advertising I guess. So anyway, no big surprise there.
Definitely don't go base - you get a lot for your money with the sport, and frankly, I feel a whole lot safer with that DSC. Go touring if you want the moonroof. Pretty much as simple as that!

The operating mechanism is underneath the roofline. Basically, your headliner will be lower if you have the moonroof.

Where underneath the roofline? My husband is 6'3" and his head is underneath the moonroof glass which is higher than the headliner. I don't see how you would lose headroom, if you had the seat back all the way.

I think the cloth seats look nice, but I found the red/black leather combo to be sportier looking. So, I got a GT.

The 300 watt Bose system is fine for my needs. I had a subwoofer and external amp in the trunk of my last car. I really don't miss them. I put my money into my home system. I spend more time at home than in my car.

The moonroof frame, drive mechanism and sunshade all take up space resulting in the headliner being lowered into the cabin. You are correct, there is a "hole" in the lowered headliner for the actual moonroof opening (assuming the sunshade is open) but it is not very big. If you are the right height and can position the seat correctly, your head can stick up into this opening just like Dan Aykroyd in Coneheads.

Without the moonroof, the headliner is pretty close to the height of the moonroof for almost the entire cabin roof.

The moonroof sucks up about 4-5 cm of headroom, but for most humans, this isn't an issue unless you're 6' 2" plus.

I can't really comment about the Bose system (we don't have the choice of the stand-alone option in Canada) but it does sound much sharper than people give it credit for. Jazz, opera, and orchestral bits are decent for an ICE system.

It's not just an issue for tall people. Headroom is also a problem if you have short arms/legs, particularly if you drive in an upright position. The closer the seat position is to the front of the car the less headroom there is in general. The moonroof makes it that much tighter.

In the most comfortable seat position, my head is about a inch from the roof and I am only 5'7" tall.
