I'm not sure if there's a difference between the US and Japanese Rx-8 regarding emissions but if it's the same, you should have no problem importing it to the US.

not worth the hassle.

same kind of power and crap, just different seats and the badge.

I wanna agree with pistonhater but importing Rx-7 Spirit-R is not possible, it's not the same as earlier FD so u gotta go thru all the hassle like run ur own crash test, twice, emission, and other paper work.

but I think once the 25 years limit is up more and more people will start importing all these cars ...
