I test drove the manual Rx-8, which brought me to my senses, and now I understand the meaning of "it wasn't worth it" so thankyou all for dissing my auto, I personally feel ripped off by the dealer........
anyhow, it was a great flamefest I have ever seen on this forum @.@ thankyou for all participating in the "I hate tajaba" fragfestival he called me up this morning and we both said sorry because we were drunk, so yea......no race (awww, I'm not gonna lose my car)

I recommend you find a local drag strip and pay 5$ to watch on test and tune or bracket racing night. You'll see Civics held together with bondo running 12s, stock chevies running 13s, tuner cars all over the place running 10-15 seconds, some slowass cars putting down mid 15s. Then look in the parking lot and know that every car you just watched is faster than yours. If they have a truck division, half the trucks will be faster than your car (some by a lot). It's ok, though, because those cars that are faster than yours are usually faster than our MTs too.

Well... If you wanted a drag car you shouldn't have bought it. The 8 is a track car, you won't be as fast with the AT, but it will still be fun.

 

learn to search, get a supercharger if you want it. dont start stupid threads.

Why do you feel hopeless you still have a nice ride and a sporty looking car. If you want trade it for a Manual 6 speed RX-8. I'd just ride in my auto knowing what it is, a nice cool a$$ ride. You are never going to the fastest or best out there theres always going to be someone, some place, some where faster and better.

But not as Cool as you are, in your RX-8. The GTI still doesn't look as Cool as your car. I'm glad that you got to keep your 8, now that would have been the pits watching someone drive off in that Cool a$$ ride after losing to that Sleeper a L7 = square VW GTI.

Stay Cool, in that slick AT 8.

 

Our Stage II Saab 92x Aero run circles around a modded 2.0 GTi all day and can completely humilate a G35Coupe/Z at straightaways. But I still rather drive the rx-8. It saddens me that people still love to paper race. The 8 is such a driver's car from the razor sharp steering the to slick rifle-bolt shifter. But hey, if you like a boxy car that boasts large numbers sure get something else.

 

I know of tracks like that... its called any nascar oval ring track

Just wanted to point something out. In the latest C&D issue, the new TT 2.0T FWD beat an RX-8 6spd decisively on a road course.

Same engine, chassis, tranny as the GTI, with perhaps different suspension settings and gear ratios. (But not too different I bet)

Although they thought that it would be the fastest out in the real world, it was still slowest on track vs. TT FWD, and I wouldn't doubt that there are many roadcourses where the MKV GTI would beat the RX-8 stock for stock.

 

Provided your post count didn't mis-shift like the total n00b it is.
