Which spark plugs for the 8?
This pic came from rotary news but is it the spark plug that the RX-8 will use? Because the Renesis can run leaner does it not need the NGK's were all used to seeing? Also does anybody have an idea as to how long between spark plug changes? I was changing plugs on my '91 every other oil change...

Hi Snowman,
The picture sure looks the way Mazda described the new spark plugs in the Presskit and Dan must have taken a picture of this particular spark plug for some reason.
I'm not sure if NGK will be making these spark plugs but they are still not going to be a generic spark plug that you can pick up from anywhere. Mazda does say that the new spark plugs will not be made of platinum anymore and will instead be made from longer lasting iridium.

i dont know if this is true... but dat looks like a greddy irridium plugs for the rx-7... i've used it once b4 coz i remember the little metal on the top of the plugs but am not 100% sure that it is the same plug...
can any1 verify the code on the plugs... or even better get a shot from the side??
From where i live, Greddy irridium is a racing plugs... and its a bit more expensive than the NGK plugs...
