This may be a dumb question but I will ask anyway. Is there any special steps that need to be taken to change the spark plugs on the RX 8. They need to be done and I don't want to pay the dealer to do it. I am pretty savy with a conventional engine but the rotary has me baffeled. Also does anybody have reasons why an 04 RX8 would miss fire on its second engine. I am about sick of thee miss firing. Love the car but need it to run right. Any ideas will certainly help with the miss fire and how to replace the plugs.

 

the misfires are due to bad coils and or spark plugs, if you change out your spark plugs i recommend you change out your coils too

Agree. Get the 13/16 spark plug socket with a wobble/u-joint.
I got mine from AutoZone for like $6
