Soon to purchase first RX8

Hey guys, my name is Josh and Ive been a car junky for years. I recently purchased a 07 Dodge Ram due to stupidity before i started looking to trade it in...First thing is I live in Oklahoma, the truck came from texas so I havnt received my title yet and its been 2 months..So im suppose to go back there to resign the paperwork when Im going to bring it up to them that I dont want it and want to be financed for a 04 Rx8 that they have on the lot.

The 04 Rx8 has 98k on it, and has had the small block replaced. Knowing that there are a lot of opinions out there on the durability of the rotary motors, it would be nice to hear some opinions on how to treat this fine piece of machinery. This would be my first Rx8, and im hoping to get some type of warrenty/gap coverage in the case of a mishap.

Any info would be great as growing up and watching my bro work on hondas, thats the cars ive been into. My knowledge of the Rx series are limited and much help would be appreciated.

Here is the link to the car im going to ask them about monday and hopefully after a test drive and some money talk we can come to a reasonable agreement to put me in my first 8.

Thanks again for any replies and hopefully Ill be a member here for a while with some good experience in the future.

Josh

dude I would run away.....

That is not a good deal... not even close...

I picked up my 06 GT with 50K on her single owner and every single receipt from day 1 for under 13000 after tax title tag, flight to florida, hotel, food, gas, and new tires.....

there are red flags all over that....

go read the noobie stickies for more details.... you are asking for all the info that is already very easy to read through and has been extensively covered and laid out for just such an occasion.

The only problem is I need to be able to finance a vehicle..Second, like i said, I signed papers for that damn truck feb 2, still no title and i have to go back in to resign the papers like i was picking up the car again...So i was hoping they would let me out of this and into something else...I guess Im limited on what i can do but it didnt seem that intriguing to me other than Ive always been a fan of the Rx8 but always nervous about the motors...Guess Ill keep the truck lol...Who knows, that is a **** ton miles..maybe I can talk them down to 8k haha

get one with lower millage. 98k is too much for that price.
if you can talk to the dealer lowering the price at least by 2k maybe you can consider it.

I would push for a 2k drop AND an extended warranty... anything less would not be worth it... I would try to sell the truck on my own and go from there... if the dealer is not taking care of the truck situation you might be able to work something out where they take it back...

Mileage to high, and it's like a senior citizen about to retire or already retired. Go get a younger one or better yet a virgin (new one). Either way, your best bet will be a low mileage vehicle.

wow run like the wind, however I realized you cannot, not sure what the rules are,, but here in ontario if you purchase a car and the dealer has 90 days to provide you with the vehicle if he does not you can walk away from the deal even after the contract has been signed... check out the back of your signed purchase deal and see what it sais.,
