No, there is an actual handle build into the inside of the trunk to easily close the trunk without touching the exterior. Take a look, you will see it if you actually look up there.

Nice on the trunk handle, never noticed that but I always used the latch itself and just pulled down on it quick enough to have it shut on its own softly without touching the outside.

The dealer actually showed me the hidden stash errr jack spot. That and the manual pretty much gives you heads up on the functionality of all of the button's features and so forth when you're bored enough to read into it.

Okay people, flame me you must but I don't think I have the second A/C outlet.

I looked in the center console and I don't see anything outside of my cup holders.

I have an '06 Sport.
Should I have the center console outlet?

It's there. Slide the cover on the console the whole way back, exposing the cup holders. Then lift the sliding cover up, it hinges on the passenger side of the console. There is a shallow tray back there, with an outlet against the back edge. There is even a groove so you can have the cable coming out when the top is closed.

I had a duh moment about a year into ownership. Someone was talking about the Sun glass holder...."Sun glass holder???" And there it was a flip down type, I never knew it was there.

lol. I read the owners manual 1 weeks before I pick up my 8. No one ever rtfm anymore?

I did noticed that on MT can not get into 5th or 6th gear if you are running idle just this morning. It's not much of use, but it's something I never knew u can't do.

I spent one week wondering why my headlamps were so fricking bright.

Turns out I clipped the fog lights switch when I first got into the car (this is my first car =x)

O another little thing about this car that is fun is tell your friends that you can turn the song on a cd just by putting your finger an inch above the button (While doing this turn it with the steering wheel controlls because they are staring at your other hand )

i don't see how that handle behind the trunk allows you to close it without touching the exterior...you'd either slam your arms or it just go all the way down but not lock in..which in the end you'd still have to push the trunk down.
