Honestly, I wouldn't even consider this except its free. And I love a deal.

Should I bite and put this on my 09 R3?

 

well, to the best of my understanding the Greddy kit isnt very good without some upgrades. add to that the fact that it was designed for series 1 rx-8's and the fact that you are still under warranty, i wouldnt do it unless you have the cash on hand for a new engine.

 

^its also gonna be hard to tune, since theres no tuning software out for the r3 yet...

 

now that i think about it, you could install it, video the process,never even crank it, uninstall it and sell it on here for profit!

 

I have to admit this did cross my mind... I mean we're talking free parts here!

tuning would be your biggest obstacle. there ARE ways to tune it, but none that have been publicly tried or documented here, and none that are acceptable methods IMO. You'd be on your own finding a tuning solution, adapting it to work properly if needed, and probably doing the actualy tuning as well
