We all know the RX8 needs some caring, not that it need to be pampered in a MUCH higher degree that another car, just DIFFERENT, correct?

How simple is it to own an RX8?

after you automate the oil check every other gas tank fill, warm up the engine before shutting down the car, how "SIMPLE" is it to own this car?


I ordered a 2007 Grand Touring and a friend of mine has a 2009 model and he says after you automate those things in your brain the car is just like any other car, no real need to stress over it.

you find that's true?

well thats basically it. and considering that you have a pretty recent year, most of the problems that earlier years had should be phased out.

It's even simpler. After checking oil every other fillup for a while, you realize that consumption is maybe a quart every couple of thousand miles. So oil check intervals become about as often as on an ordinary car.

That leaves not shutting off cold - and having a quart of oil on hand every couple of thousand miles - as the only "complexity." You'd need a pretty short attention span for that to be an issue.
