Well, you guys don't have to put up with BS from local dealerships. If local dealerships still have retarded add-ons or market-adjustment values, ditch them in a hurry. You can buy from another state or more distant dealership and have the car shipped to you. For example, buy from the NE area with $2400+ off, pay $700 shipping to your door step- You are still saving 1700+ off MSRP. That's the reason why I encourage everyone to post good deals around the country regardless of the area. Shipping isn't that expensive and paperwork can be done through the mail.

Here is a printed ad in NE region. 128 Mazda is also offering RX-8 below $25k. For those of you who havn't picked up the car yet, you can try to negotiate a better deal with this ad. Good luck.

btw: 2000 is still a pretty respectable sales number. If Mazda can sell $2000 every month, they'll reach 24000 in one year. In addition to excellent sales number from Japan, they should have little problem metting the 30,000 global goal.

I think I got a good deal.
I got mine for $1300 off MSRP. No tax, I recall the Title and tag fee total being less than $100. (This was about 1 month ago 10/04/03)

I think good. September sales were 2105. 2510-2105= a 405 increase--about 20 %.

Dealers in Bham are only now in the mood to deal. Early on they were selling off of the truck. However, I searched and found that there were 117 RX8's within 35 miles and 8 with the specifications I wanted. The two dealers I worked each had 30 on the lot. Still only got $1500 off of MSRP but I'm a poor negotiator.
