Let me first express my satisfaction towards a mechanic i stumbled upon after my engine completely died. Basically, I ran into a flood during the month of Late January when rain hit the so cal like no other. I took my car to a local mechanic who charged me ridiculous amount just to tell me that my engine was leaking coolant, oil, and water at the same time.

I had State farm trying to recover the damages due to a flood. The crazy sht about is that my intake manifold was filled with metal dust and that is not normal coming from a rotary. .

I took my vehicle to Star Mazda in Glendale, CA since State farm won't help me or the dealership stated that the vehicle was not damaged due to a flood even though i was covered under 5 years 60K warranty. I took my vehicle to two blocks away where I met Alex. His company name is Why Pay More and he's worked for a dealership for 16 years at Galpin Mazda in socal repairing rotaries and any other Mazda and any other vehicles.

I had my engine and motor replaced and installed for under 1200 which is damn impressive. Not only do I get any service calls for free but he is the best damn mechanic and trustworthy mechanic where I will be taking my RX8 for future major repairs. My positive feedback towards Alex at WHY PAY MORE in Glendale, CA 818-242-5096 is where I will take my vehicle for any rotary problem as I am near 54K miles on my 06 Mazda Rx8.

Just to cut to the chase. I am very pleased with the service and he has provided me with and believe he deserves better maintenance request as a trustworthy mechanic and give him positive result of the work and time and labor he has performed in for such a reasonable cost. That is all if i wasted your time.

Why Pay More is located @ 1504 S. Brand Blvd, Glendale CA 91204 right behind Enterprise Rent A Car. His # is 818-242-5096. He will beat any of your local mechanic and he used to work for Mazda for 16 years.

I do not gain or lose anything from providing you all So Cal RX8 fanatics a good and local mechanic. Just tell Alex that John with a titanium grey RX8 driver was satisfied with his service and wanted him to continue his business to other fellow RX8 drivers with their problems knowing their vehicle is safe with him. I am only posting this long AD because he deserves more and is an honest mechanic. He will take care of you and your car 100%. Thanks if you read this far. My car feels better than new and Its running smoother and faster then when I purchased the vehicle back in 2006 BRAND new . I am very satisfied and wanted other RX8 owners to know as it is hard to find a mechanic who specializes in Rotaries and don't want to pay max value at the dealership. My Apex Seal was damaged and unfortunately the dealer does not want to cover that under the cover warranty. My top portion of the engine was cracked and denied it was due to a flood. Although I spent a hefty amounts of cash, I'm even more satisfied now that I got my car back and couldn't have met a better mechanic who deserves more credit.
