Small light in headlight

Hey guys, I posted a thing earlier about trying to wire up HID headlights onto a non HID car... I have high/low beam and turn signals working... but I was wondering what the small light that is closest to the grill is for? when is it on?

Couldnt turn them on b/c I did a automatic to manual swap on my car and the harness was different bc my car had HID... The car I took the wiring harness out of did not have HID's therefore I am having to rewire them to work. I have the high/low beam and turn signals working... The small light (parking light) was the last thing I needed to complete the wiring. Thanks :-)))

The swap is complete... I just finished the wires and reinstalled the headlights, I have to finish bolting up the bumper cover and clean the car up. I started with a flood car that was a 4 port automatic. I bought a 6 speed manual car, upon purchasing the car I realized the engine was bad. So I got the ideal of converting my 4 port engine into a 6 speed car... I realize the horsepower difference and have gotten many comments asking what the point is... I want to drive the car is the point... It would take me much to long to rebuild it and it would prolong the project. This way I have a everyday driver (I have a 2004 SLK230 mercedes...) and I can work on the 6 port engine as I aquire the money to do so. I should have the car to 100% completion tomorrow evening when I get off work lol. I have put around 40-50 hours into the car and have about 3000 dollars in the car completed so I figure I havnt done to bad. The only way I recomend this undertaking is if you are a 18 year old fresh out of high school (I am) and have nothing better to spend you summer on while your not working LMFAO!!! Anyway if anyone is interested in the swap just drop me a message and I can answer any questions... BTW changing a non HID car to a HID car is NO big deal if you can do without the leveling BS...

The parking lights turn on at any position except OFF.
