Slightly bent rim !!

Alright so I'm getting my winter tires mounted on G35 rims as I speak. However the mechanic told me one of the rims is slightly bent. I mean is this dangerous at all? Its not terrible just slightly. These rims are just for winter ... What do you guys think ?! I don't want to have to pay $200 to get it fixed ! Any help ?

Thanks

Definitely worth a try, but it depends on how badly it's bent. I had a bent rim, and I felt it, even on the RR. Got it fixed at WheelWorks in Maryland. There should be similar shops elsewhere.

We have wheel works in Cali.

Also depends where she is bent.

Could be bent on the side from installation and removal.

If they balance it really well it will help cut down on the sting.

i had an unfilled pot hole in a road during construction blow my rear tire out and the said the wheels now has a good 3/8"-1/2" wobble to it, i cant tell a THING! and i have had my car up to 135 mph. the only downfall i see is the tire will just wear a lot faster. or if by some chance you have a tiny crack, water can get into it, freeze and make the wheel worse...

Yea that's the only downfall I can think of. That the tire might get an uneven wear. But even when he was blancing it you can hardly tell it was wobbling. Oh well this is only for winter.

bought 2 new wheels after. still have the old bent wheels here.

The wheels are for winter anyway.

As long as your rear end isn't sliding side to side from the shaking, you'll be OK I assume

What can it shake loose. Can the wheel come off while driving lolll. Is this a big safety hazard I should worry about? And once again its not huge vibrations just slight bouncyness.

on average how much is it to repair a bent rim? i currently have a bent rim and it sucks. the entire car shakes at high speeds, theres a squeaking sound which is scaring me cuz now i think it could be something in addition to the bent rim but im not sure yet and my alignment is off. was thinking about going to wheel works (i live in bay area CA) but wasnt sure yet

in case any1 is wonder long story short, someone kinda ran me off the road and slid into the curb. front driver side wheel hit it kinda hard and the fu**** drove off.

maybe a bent axle causing some brake squeal depending on where its coming from. Have you pin pointed the exact noise? Have you checked the components physical to see if anything is bent or broken.
