Talking single rotor

hay guys, iam into rc airplanes and helis, i seen a new engine. an o.s. wankel. the high rpms make it great for ducted fan motors. i seen it at tower hobbies, that thing must sound cool

It's been out for a while. Someone even modified it and turned it into a two rotor engine.

man thats cool . i went brushless a while back, havent looked glow in awhile. this is worth checking out.

Burns oil, bad fuel economy, not enough power and it's unreliable. You'll need new apex seals and a full rebuild after 1000 yards.

Put a test pipe on it and it will pop some flames

I read the write up and it looks pretty cool. If I recall correctly the writer seemed fairly confident in its performance compared to similar 2-stroke engines. Wonder if I could run one in my q40...

I'm not into those, but it sounds interesting. When i was younger, i used to play with rc's, but i'm older now and not interested with those anymore.

kid at heart

iam 45, in the 70s, for me it was *** controle line air planes & vws. then i seen an rx-7, well..... that was it. an engine that aint got pistons & looks so cool, i knew one day i would have one. i have had 2 rx-7s, & now my 8, my child hood lives on. along with my hobby, rc has come a long way, look at some of utube, rc heli stuff. most all are older & maken lots of money.

... because RC Helis are expensive as hell, and easily broken...
I gave up on my E-flight Blade after rebuilding it for the uptempth time... just to total it in the very first flight...again, Now I'm just using it as a demonstrator for helicopter control surfaces.

Do you have a link to the rc rotary engine manufacturer?

small one

just click on to tower hobbie, then go to o.s. engines. thay have 2 or 3,. i went cheap & got an exi 450 heli, parts are alot cheaper. that was xheli. turnigy raido 9ch,... 60 bucks. that was hobby king.
