Which specific place did you have to drill into?

I did the front splash guards, side flares, and rear flares two weeks ago. Took about 10 hours, total (going slow to do it right). Front air dam was about two months ago with a four hour install (took forever to get the fog lights disconnected... me = noob). Fun install, but time consuming. Worth it though, for only $400 including shipping!

Next item: Mazdaspeed Spoiler, then calling it done!

my car is sunlight silver and i got them from ebay for 150 shipped. the dealer was azparts or sumthing like that. just type in rx8 side aero flares and he'll come up then just send him a pm and asked if he can get me sunlight silver and he did.

*you have to drill 4 holes on the underside of the car by the door

I just installed the front lip today took me about an hour all together *ive took off the bumper b4.* the drilling on that was a sinch since it was already put on the factory bumper were to drill.

You drilled in order to keep the rubber piece on the sides in place right?

it took me 2 hours to install my side flares, but I used double side tape. Did anybody use double side tape?

I wouldn't trust double-sided tape alone... water WILL get in there, and I can't imagine it holding long-term.

You need to drill them.

Slight accident, rain, snow, heat.........

man I dunno why you guys like those aero flares... they're the most hideous thing I've seen on an 8. they don't follow the lines of the car, they look too much like a 1/2 assed after thought. If you ever autox it, they scream tag a cone with me n see if I survive. I don't get it!?!

The flares look better than nothing.

Great alternative for those of us that don't want to spend over $3k for the MS kit.

Or don't want to buy a cheap replica.

Or might want to keep SOME resale value.

I just ordered my set a few days ago. I should get them next week. I am a little nervous about installing them though. I have done spoilers and front lips but never any kind of side skirt or flare.

got the rear and side flares with hardware, painted for 275 shipped. I'm getting them from an eBay store called azpartsexpress. He didn't have Velocity Red listed so I emailed him and he got them in. I was thinking about letting a body shop do it but i'm funny about other people touching my 8. Especially with a drill!
