Should I worry about my production date?
I have an 8 on order -- I'm very excited about it, regardless of all the issues I've been reading/hearing. I test drove it well (twice) and its the superocho for me!
But, I am worried about readings here of people saying there are bad batches of cars (maybe?) -- I'm too impatient to "wait a year". Problems I have heard:
- oil-pan problems,
- A/C problems,
- lack of power after 6250 RPM.
My test-drive car(s) did not have any of these as far as I could tell. I don't want mine to either!
I ordered Aug 15 for a Winning Blue GT/Appearance/Accents car sitting in Tacoma (I think it arrived there July 15) and should be here for me (Indiana) in mid Sept. My VIN # ends in 110022.
-------
If when I get it, the oil-light seems ok, the A/C seems ok, and it does have power above 6250 (which I would only briefly test, since I want to break it-in properly), then should I sign on the dotted sign and be happy?
Recommendations?
Thanks!!!
