did i not say all this?? also you have listed in your info that shinka's came in Galaxy Grey then in last sentence said they did NOT.... you are no helping the OP with this confusion.. shinka was only available in 2005 black cherry and 2006 Copper red, galaxy grey, brilliant black (which you forgot to list) and whitewater pearl. they DID NOT make shinka's in 2007. if your dealership told you that, they are misinforming you.
the touring did NOT come in suede, that is cloth.
siiiigh.
again, if OP (or anyone who wants to for that matter) clicky on thread link i provided waaaay early in thread, they can look up VIN number, yes it takes a few moments of time, but if your VIN is on that list, you haz shinka.

went to Mazda today and had them look up the VIN, it's a touring model. I also got all the maintenance performed, and recall info. the 8 is still under powertrain warranty till nov. and of course the engine warranty will 2013. I have the paperwork now, so I'm going to make an offer on the car and see what happens..

my info came from wiki(which they must not have updated or just got their info wrong) i apologize!, and yes i had failed to notice they had posted grey, and i did say i do 'believe' they did not come in grey, which meant i wasn't 100% sure. And secondly, even tho i did not 'list' brilliant black in the wiki info(which i just copied) im pretty sure i did say i was going to buy a black shinka, and lastly, if you read back to where i talk about the dealerships i said they were probably wrong, usually they are.....07 or not(which i know its not an 07) regardless....still a shinka

Ok guys, maybe you can help me with this.
I live in Puerto Rico. I bought in 2006, brand new, a car they sold as a Limited Edition. It even has a small plastic like sticker in the roof pilars with "LIMITED EDITION". It's Galaxy Gray, has gunmetal wheels, beige suede seats with red leather stitch trim, matching door inserts, traction control and heated seats. It also has the crome inserts that were mentioned in this thread. Tha car also came with Mazdaspeed rear deck wing/spoiler and the Mazdaspeed mirrors (those I'm sure were added here).
Do I have a Shinka??? How can I really tell. Did they made a speciall package to try to sell this cars in Puerto Rico and substitute the Shinka badge?
Thanks for your responses

I don't think he was being negative, just pointing it out.
negative would have been:
"Hey dumb ***, did u even read the rest of the thread? If your weren't so retarded you could have used the site linked above to find your vin number and yes, it sounds like you have a Shinka."
Just a joke man, don't take stuff so personally. If you do, your time here will be painful.

I cheked the listings and the VIN number doesn't appear. So, I have everything a Shinka has, with Mazdaspeed deck spoiler and rear view mirrors, and they sell it here as a Limited Edition????

2005 Shinka VIN's
Just so they're in one thread if people search, attached is the list of 05 shinka VIN's.
2150 were planned to be made, but not actually built iirc. I forget the exact reason why.

fwiw, they showcase that grey 2006 Limited Edition on an ep. of the British tv show Auto Trader, which we get here on HD Theatre. It looks a lot like the later 2008 Anniversary Edition (and was probably the inspiration for same).
There was a factory incident (fire?) iirc that shut down the assembly line for awhile and cut short the 2005 Shinka build at 1,357 (844 M/T). Auto manufacturers often don't produce the number of units planned for a multitude of reasons tho'.

This is still a great reference thread for shinka questions (Shika-Mami it may save you some typing). There are many that want to say their green with brown and red interior cars are shinkas but this will "show" the real shinka's. Look and see the differences then ask what you will here for clarification. (with how often I look up this thread is should almost be a sticky)

also don't shinka's have a piano black trim on the inside as well? for example the center console sides it's usually silver all the way back to the back seats, but i believe for shinka's that's piano black. correct me if i'm wrong.
