i just recently broke my clutch pedal and was wondering why that happened? i usually shift really fast ... does this affect my clutch pedal or anything else . when i shift fast it doesn't jerk or anything so i couldnt see any problems that could occur but i could be wrong

its a known issue, the factory welds are crap.

options
1- mazda ras a recall on this so go and get a new one-free
2- remove it and weld it together propperly, thats what i did-free for me
3- idk im mazda replaces the pedal with a stronger one, but if not you can buy a re enforcement bracket for about $100 i think
