Serious RX8 no start problem

Ok for starters hi yall , im hoping one or two of u might be able to help . I have read almost all the no start forums here but have not found anything that hints close to my issue . i will go into asmuch detail as possible so bear with me .

First off this car was involved in a mild fender bender that did no damage past the front rebar , airbags were deployed in the front but the driver was not wearing his seat belt . belts retract fine and colume was colapsed by his body and a nice face indent in windsheild . car was going aprox 30 kms per hour .

Replaced front airbags and reset ecu under dash/console . Checked all fuses and battery is good . PLEASE trust that this is not a battery issue .... When key is clicked to the number 1 possition the dash lights up a light blue , interior and trunk lights come on but no milage lights or anything else .

Locks . seats , windows work , but no sterio or real dashlights except the door open light on dash . and pail blue misty coloured background dash lights .

Wont crank , wont click , wont anything ..

Have spare key and cylinder and matching ecu but have not swaped in fear of making this worse , ie .. needing dealer re flash on keys or ..... ?

All i get is silence and light blue dashlights . Any one come accross this before ?

No telling what safety measure are working against you since the air bags are deployed. Could be ECU, fuel safety switch, any number of things. Was this repair work done by a bodyshop? Do you have power at the starter? Reset ECU unbder dash? Do you mean the air bag module? If so, the SDM usually needs to be replaced in most cars. Also, when the air bags deployed in this "mild" accident there is certainly a ton of dust and debri flying around that could possibly have gotten in the key cylinder making is difficult for the car to read the key thus causing the anti theft to not let the car start.

I did the body work myself altho it was straight forward , re/re bumper , headlights drvers fender . Replaced the airbags and srs reset ecu . Havent checked power to starter , but since cant get real dash lights to fire i figuer no point in checking srarter yet . fuel reset has been swaped but again doesnt get that far .... I checked all fuses / relays and socketed plugs for colume and under dash . wondering if main relay can be damaged without visual damage ? put a mazda computer on it and it cant get a signal through to the main ecu ... mazda said leave it with them for a day or two to figuer out the problem at 110 bucks an hour ,,,, kinda hoping to avoid that .....

if i change the ecu over from another car besides switching the ignition over (being a chiped key) any known issues regarding it relearning itself ? identacle optioned car and same year ...... Any thoughts on this ? anyone done it with positive results ? thanks for ur input as im feeling alittle stuck .....

Ecu usually reads the codes wherever there is computerized connection with the parts, especially the evap components. When the air bags deployed in an accident, it should be reset like any other ecu codes within the car.

Don't see what harm it could do to swap the ECU if you have keys.....

I have a Racing Beat programmed ECU that I swap out regularly, no adverse effects.
