Scion FR-S and Subaru BRZ

These 2 cars look to be pretty decent: RWD, light weight, low engine mounted farther back for low center of gravity and better weight distribution...all hallmarks of the RX8. 0-60 times estimated to be 6-6.2 seconds also very close to the Mazda. The 2.0 liter will no doubt have the incredible reliability that Subaru and Toyota have been known for and will get between 22-30 mpg.
This could be a worthy successor/choice to the now discontinued RX8...it wont have the 9k redline sadly but it also wont have the engine issues.

Lol +1

So because the 0-60 time is the same it's going to be a worthy successor to the 8?

200 hp 4 cylinder boxer....no thanks.

the brz is surprisingly pricey at 28,000$ for no awd. you can get a fully loaded impreza for less. rx-8 for the summer, impreza for the winter(if you live in a snow region) is a sweeter deal to me anyways. Time will tell though, maybe in a couple of years i might consider buying the brz on its last production year

It also won't be the "virtual sport-sedan" that the RX-8 so brilliantly is...

I am hoping the next RX maintains the 2+2 with suicides.
