really? 90 views and not one person saying, "**** kershaw, sorry about losing your engine."

:/

Is it possible to only have 11 psi on a face?

Apex seal failure should put 2 faces low, side seal can do 1 face, but not that severe?

I'd be more inclined to wonder about the tester...

Sucks man but I would get the test done properly with the engine warm at 250RPM. Doesn't seem right to me.

afaik, with the engine warm, the compression goes down. that's why the whole, "engine warm, hard starts" problem exists.

but it's going to a dealership tomorrow. that's the next step.

the step after that... hmmm maybe take a page from yax's book.

so the tester machine was screwy. i took it the dealership and it passed, but it's not great.

most were 7.0 kpa and a few were 7.3 kpa. thats 101-105 psi. a healthy motor is 120psi. failing is 98.6.

so really, i got the worst news possible. it didnt fail and get a new engine or get the news that my motor is fine. i got the news that it will fail soon after the warranty is up in december. i'll have it retested a few days before the warranty is up to see if it fails, but until then....

:/
