just got back from mazda, i have a new enigne on the way 
! thanks to all of you & this site for the info & help. my 05, 8, had hot start problems, i done all the stuff on the list. done my last compression test & it was bad, took it to mazda & said have at it. thay called me back & said i need a new one, it will be here by the 26th. that 8 year 100,000 mile ext. is greaaaaaaaat!!! but if it wernt for yall, i would not have known what to do... so thank you very much!!!

Congrats, you may want to look at having a few things replaced at your cost while the engine is out.
OMP lines and nozzles, the updated motor mounts.
A thorough cleaning of the throttle body.
Updated SSV valve.
Checkout MazMart for better pricing on the parts.
