It's possible the catalytic converter melted and part of it are blocking the muffler. That doesn't normally prevent them from starting though... so a couple of things: flooding is often a sign of bad coils. Take care of that quickly. Cat melting is also a symptom of bad coils, so inspect the cat and gut/replace it if it's damaged inside. If it's healthy it's worth some money so don't gut it just for kicks. Both problems will kill your engine so you're going to want to be quick about this before driving too much.
