RX8 won't start....

My poor RX8 has been sitting out all winter, only getting started periodically, and for some reason now it won't start. It turns over, i cleaned the plugs, i put the timing light on it to see if there were any pulses, which there was, and it's getting fuel, how much i don't know, but it's there. It also makes this strange clickinh sound after the fuel pump shuts off under the hood. I was unable to retrieve any DTC's from it as well. Does anyone out there have any ideas? Thanks guys!

I agree. Flush the gas lines, change the filter, put in new gas and new sparks. Yeah?

PS if it gets super cold during your winter, gas might have frozen somewhere on your lines. You should check your tanks and lines for the too.

if you started it in the middle of winter periodically and didn't rev it or give it enough time to warm up, it is probably flooded. they flood much easier when cold.

I thought my line or tank was frozen but i pulled it into the heated garage and let it warm upfor about a week and added ISOheet and fresh gas to remove water or unfreeze it, still nothing. the starter whips it right around, my friend suggested maybe the walls have been washed down and need oiling for compression. the plugs have been cleaned and will get cleaned again if needed. The fuel filter would probably be a good idea to replace it. but other than that any other ideas? In the mean time i guess the minis will keep her warm...

Maybe it could still be flooded? Do you smell excessive gas when starting?

What year and how many miles?
