Exhaust never came...what do i do????

Hey guys

I don't know if this post fits into this section but anyway, I bought an exhaust from someone from this club, and I paid for it through PayPal. The seller shipped it through FedEx, and according to him, FedEx gave them a promised date of February 19. Today is the 22nd, and still no sign.

I'm having a hard time getting a hold of the seller. He responded on the 19th, and said to give him a call if it doesn't come by the 20th. Ive called and emailed him over and over ever since, but no luck. Now I'm out $375 and no exhaust.

Now my question...what do I do now? Can Paypal do anything? Any advice is appreciated.

according to him, he said he had FedEx pick up the package from his house, so he was not given a tracking number, he only has a confirmation number. he said he would call FedEx the following day (meaning on the 20th) and have them check the confirmation number. but since he never replyed to my calls/emails, i dont know if he ever called FedEx.

Another possibility exists that he sent it out by fedex ground (or freight) so perhaps it's taking a few days longer than fedex overnight.

I've often seen FedEx change delivery dates on me. The estimated date is just that, an estimate.

Contact the seller, get a confirmation, call FedEX and see if they can find the package for you. Having a Confirmation, your address, seller's address, might help them track it down

well thats the thing, the seller is not responding to my calls or emails so i have no way of obtaining the confirmation number. ive asked for it from the day it was sent out, but he always neglected to provide it.

some people just suck at this whole 'communication' thing. I would say give it till Monday in case it's just delayed with FedEx. That should still give you plenty of time to file a claim with Paypal if you need to.

yeah i came across your tread on him in good guy/bad guy...which actually played a factor in my purchase. i took him as a trustworthy guy, since someone recommended him but something doesnt seem right.

just make sure you file a claim in paypal before 30 days and he will have about 10 days to reply and resolve the dispute....then if you do get you exhaust in the mail you can cancel the dispute....

Yeah...........I think you need to give it a little more time. I know it's kinda nerve racking, but as others have said.................he might just be outta town or busy.
BTW..............If FEDEX picked up from his house..............

1.) It would be coming freight, which is ground, and takes longer.

2.) What I don't like is that if he did the FEDEX online, then he already had a tracking number at the time he paid the shipping and printed the label.

Not to mention that a huge snow storm just blasted where that exhaust has to travel.
