i agree. i dont mind the delay through fedex...its the fact that i was not given any info about the shipping from the seller. i have called him and left voice mails every day, and still nothing. if he responded at least, things wouldnt be looking so shady, but im not getting any response.

I totally agree. If someone is posting things to sell, that should mean that the things are ready to be shipped out right away.

I recently made a purchase and from the date of the shipment and when I actually got it, it took over a week. The delivery was from New York to L.A.

It must suck not to be able to reach the seller. I bet he was reponding to your PM's within seconds before it was sold. I'd say if it hasn't been over a week since the ship date, wait a couple more days. If it has gone beyond a week, I'd begin getting ready to file something with PayPal.

It was shipped on Tuesday, Feb 12, and it was supposed to arrive on Tuesday, Feb 19th. So it has been very well over a week (almost 2), since the shipping date. im going to wait until Monday evening...if it doesnt come by then, its off to PayPal. i wanted the sp2 exhaust so badly too...

A week is more than enough time to get it from coast to coast. The confirmation number would be nice to see where the package is. Not to defend the seller but I have had numerous problems with FedEx so I no longer ship through or buy from companies that use them. They have lost several of my packages. I agree with opening a dispute through paypal. Be ready to explain everything that has happened so far and able to provide proof.

If you haven't filed a claim through PP, do so NOW. Also, did you pay via CC through PayPal? I've learned that you never buy anything with Paypal unless it's through your cc- that way, even if PP craps on you, you can still do a chargeback through the CC.

Call Fedex...they if you give them the starting address and a destination address, they should be able to tell you what's up. If they don't have anything and he's in the same state, follow through with the PayPal dispute and file a small claims suit against the guy. Send him the summons.

need an opinion...i opened the dispute on Monday, and im pretty sure the dude will not respond to this either (Paypal gives him 20 days to respond). Should i "Escalate this dispute to a claim with PayPal?" OR should i just wait the 20 days and see what happens. Im not actually sure what happens after 20 days. Do i automatically win if he doesnt respond in 20 days?

new info...it looks like if nothing happens (if the guy never responds to the PayPal dispute), the dispute will automatically be closed. I think its better to escalate it up to a claim with PayPal.

Any suggestions?

He is not leaving you with any options. Do what ever you have to do to get your money back - escalate anything you can.

I wouldn't realy too heavily on PayPal to help you out...they generally prefer to side with the seller (sellers make them more money than individual buyers). I've been screwed a couple times by PayPal.

if the seller does not respond, that helps you. You said it yourself. Show some patience and go along with the process; wait the 20 days and then you'll get paid.

Problem solved.

Paypal will only give you a refund if the seller left the money in his paypal account. Paypal screws everyone over. I hate Paypal. They should be sued for ever claiming buyer protection. Sorry to say you're SOL. Always use your credit card when buying from someone you don't trust. You'll get a cash advance charge from your credit card company but at least you get real protection.

You have his address, don't you? Post it up. I'm sure someone on here lives close to him.
