Rx8 wheels on 6?

Hey fellas, just wondering if any of you might know if the rx8's wheels would fit a 6, I ran into a site where 3 owners had put stock 8 rims on their 3's, so I'm wondering if maybe the mazdaspeed wheels fit the 6? Any info would b appreciated, thanks.

go to a 6 forum and ask them what the bolt pattern and offsets are for the 6. then serch the wheels and tires section here for the 8s numbers. compare.

Yeah, they do fit. Some guy powder coated RX-8 rims black and put them on his Mazda6 wagon. I remember that....

I put my stock rx8 wheels on my six and it has worked out great.

BTW, no need to roll the fenders unless you are lowering it also.

You need to roll the rear fenders. Lowering doesn't change the dynamics of whether or not it will rub, it just increases the likelyhood.

Here's a photo of someone who said they didn't rub. (Notice the wheel gap...the car's not lowered)

You fill your car up with friends or cargo, you'll be rubbing something horrible. Trust me, I know.

Better to roll the fenders and avoid fender damage when it does hit. Plus you can run 235/40/18 then .

Its your car though. It might not have rubbed yet, but later, when you hit a dip in the road, and the rear suspension reaches maximum travel, and that sucker slams into your fender, and cracks your clearcoat, and your slapped with a huge bill to repaint the rear of the car...don't complain.

The only time I really drive my 6 is when I have a couple of my larger friends that don't want to squeeze into the 8.

I would imagine that you would have to hit a pretty serious bump to get that kind of damage. I travel into the city of Philadelphia all the time and in some parts the roads are so bad it might as well be a off road course.

I am not saying not to roll your fenders ( do what you think is right) but i am saying that my experience with the wheel and tire combo has worked out fine for me.
