If you get an 8 and you figure you don't have the budget to keep it at some point, will you be able to resell it the same price? will you be able to wait a couple of weeks before someone actually buys it?
I saw friends buying cars and reselling them few months after and losing a lot of money because they simply didn't have the budget for a sport car.

Buy a Civic.
I'm serious this time. Well, I was serious the buh-zillion other times I've said "buy a Civic" to somebody in your situation.
The RX8 is a fantastic car, but it's not a good student car for somebody on a budget.
Rich frat boy car? Sure... then it becomes a disposable trinket, and if it gives up on you, you can drive Daddy's spare Mercedes E55 AMG while it's in the shop getting a turbo 20B swap. If you crash it, on to the next trinket.
You're being silly.

I realize that... it makes the RX8 a bad choice for you. Bad.
Save your money for fun, don't work so much, and focus on studying and learning.
Don't work your *** off for a stupid car when you have so much more to enjoy and experience while going to school. You have the rest of your life to work like that. You should be out meeting people, experiencing life, growing as a person instead being a schmuck, working full time at a crap job for a car payment.
Get your degree, get a job that will pay 3-4 times what you could possibly make now, and then buy a sports car.
See my point? Is it clear yet?

My first car had 130HP and was FWD, I had a LOT of fun with it, what I liked the most was how reliable it was and how as a student I didn't throw all my money on it.

RIP Mx-3. Hello Rx-8!
Indeed, I got my first car at 21, was also a 130hp FWD car, until I swapped to a 200hp motor a year later, lol (failed e-test, was burning oil and the water pump went at 140'000kms, so might as well upgrade), but still I was a student at the time and the real main drive for me to get my own car was that my sister was going to need one in several months when she started college, so was time I got my own.

Also, you have to consider the time commitment. This is a car you cant neglect or it will bite you in the ***. A sports car requires a lot more time and tlc than a normal car. In college, you simply won't have the free time or motivation to take care of an RX8. Trust me the last thing you want to do after pulling an all-nighter cramming for a test that you bombed anyways because you didnt get any sleep (it happens!) is go home and change your oil or work on your car. Save what little free time you get in college for your social life.
I bought my RX-8 about 7 months after I graduated college and I love it to death, but I'm really glad I waited. I cant imagine the stress it would have caused me trying to figure out how to pay for an expensive sports car repair just so I had a means of transportation to get to class. And thats the kind of thing that always happens right in the middle of finals week....

Depends what kind of student you are. My RX8 was my present to myself after a solid 8 month coop workterm. So if you are an engineering student and will have a number of coop/internships where you make good money, go for it.
Otherwise, spend your cash on beer and vacations.

And er... FERA? it really helps to type with complete sentences with punctuations and all, your thought process worries me for your college experience... just remember to play hard, study harder. 3.0 GPA is not enough. you should be shooting for a 3.5 GPA at least (no C's)
