Either he cannot drive or was lying (most likely). An EG with a properly running H22 would destroy most cars on the street. 205-220HP (depending if JDM or not) in a 2300lbs hatch = pretty quick. Also, the chances of everything else being stock performance wise on an H22 swapped hatch are pretty slim.

It's so funny to see owners of Rx-8's calling other cars ricers. Anything can be rice, there are a few good examples of owners ricing out there Rx-8 on this forum. My integra is far from rice , yes it's lowered, yes I have a swap in it, i have nice wheels on it,no I am not rolling around with a primer paint job. And no I don't go try and race everybody under the sun. I drive it because it's one of the best fwd(fail wheel drive, lol) cars out there that can handle the twisties very well, and still sip gas. Plus it saves me from putting all the wear and tear on my beloved Rx-8.

Where I'm from, just about any Japanese car is considered rice.

If only the RX-8 was German or American or something, I think it would get more respect (at least in America) and we wouldn't have near as many people ricing them out.

...sorry that was totally off topic.

^+1, While these hondas are fwd and commonly riced out, they have great performance despite their so called "Fail Wheel Drive", too many people think its crap just of the drivetrain... pretty dumb imo considering the DC5, FD2 is on par or faster than our 8 on small circuit stock for stock but what do i know.

Yeah, no argument here of the potential of Honda's. Every Honda I have owned was faster than my 8 in terms of numbers but there is no comparison. But, with enough money the 8 can be in super car territory.

auto rx8 equals a real rx8's redhead stepchild :p

Everytime I see (or hear) a civic with a folgers can attached to the exhaust, I rev my 1.6L 14 year old stock toyota corrolla engine. It pisses them off, especially if I pass them.

80 HP ftw.

Here in Oklahoma, there's so many civic with "Martinez" or redriguez..hernandez etc on the back/front windshields and they all sound horrible. If you look under the car, you'd see a 1" exhaust pipe leading to a 10" muffler. Idiots.

Ive been racing in various motosports for the last 5 years from autocross to drift to time attack. (non-professional of course)

SO! My buddy has a type R 01 integra, my wifes stock rx8 made 190whp and his car was modded with basic bolt ons and made 178 whp and had a wreaker powerband on the dyno than the 8.

Anyway, I raced and owned him. So you can probably own the gsr. My buddy only street races and he has been doing it for three years so he knows how to drive good at a street level..

Ive also owned a rsx type s in my wifes rx8. And once again, it is stock w/ only a mazdaspeed exhaust (could be just muffler instead of catback. i really dont know or have taken the time to check for sure).

SO you will win.

I actually just traded in my 98 GSR for my 8. The 8 is faster hands down, handles 100 times better too.

FWD is crap. It exists solely because its cheap to manufacture. Never forget, people race all sorts of stupid **** that isn't meant to be raced... like lawnmowers.
