RX8 Update
I know most of you dont really care at all, but I had an oil leak quite a while ago. My car is a rebuilt title, but wasn't "properly" rebuilt. I took my car to a builder and he tore it apart and looked at the lines. Only one was actually intact and delivering oil into the engine. Most of the parts were starved of oil, yet I didn't think it was too bad because I would top off the oil every time it got to the middle.
Lesson learned : Dont have your OMP lines clogged or pinched or broken, unless you want a new block

Of course we care! In fact I have been there too.
A cracked line (assume during reinstall) that presented as a minir leak from day one after rebuild. This took some chasing. It appeared to be a simple sump pissy gasket seal, but not.
How many km/ml had fhe engine done like this?
Also how or where did the leak present?

I assume the lines slowly got worse day after day and decided to finally crack in its last few years I would assume, or it couldve been like that for a while. The car has 76000 Miles on it too, virtually no rust anywhere.

Its amazing the engine lasted that long really. You would understandably pissed but lesson learned through no fault of your own doing really.
Thanks for highlighting this definite weak point in our engines.
I even gave my builder a spare set of oil lines i had kicking around to choose the best ones! Accidents still happen.

But nonetheless, a brand new motor is going to be nice. Note to self: If there's something wrong with a line, replace it immediately!
