Alright so my car is a auto/manual swap car. I just put a new crate engine in it last week... tore the tranny out in 2 days haha, it had 95k miles though. So I put another low milage tranny in it yesterday, drove it and it ran fine last night and today until I left college tonight. I got like 5 miles from my house and it started acting like it was running out of gas. I looked at the gauge and had about 1/8th tank. Fuel light wasnt on. So it bairly made it home, It will run find for a sec, then it will loose power and fall on its face. I cruised at like 100-110 in 6th gear, I dont believe this could have anything to do wit it? (for like 5 miles or so). Any suggestions? I have had the fuel pump out and tank off... so maybe I damaged the fuel level thing? but it has worked fine for the last couple months... It did it mid day today and I put gas in it and it was fine... It did the same thing a while back and I put gas in it and it was fine after. So yea it just puzzles me why it would do it while showing 1/8th tank. BTW sorry for the poor written post... Its like 1 in the morning, I have been up since like 8 this morning and yea im freakin tired! lol but I wanted to get the post up so maybe I could get some suggestions...

Side note... whats a used lambo kit worth? and how well do they work? (stopped at a car lot and ask a price on a "P.O.S" rx8... well the guy told me the price and said something about it having "them stupid doors that lift up" haha I was like, well I have a parts car with all the hinges if you wanna trade... I was actually joking with the guy... and he told me I could have the lambo kit if I brought him the stuff to change it back over. I was like WTF bc they are like 1299.99...)

 

you're losing a leading coil possibly both.

 

When the fuel level is low, the fuel pump is over heating and shutting down. The clue is The fresh gas is cool and removes the heat from the pump. Get a new fuel pump from the dealer or a fuel pump kit from BHR.
