The car is RWD, of course it oversteers like crap in the rain

Until you understand the differences between TCS, DSC, ABS and LSD you probably SHOULD NOT be drifting. If you dont know what an LSD is you likely have no idea what kind of damage you are doing to it every time you drift. (Even Tsuchiya commented on having to replace his once a month when he was a young kid. ONCE A MONTH! Have you priced an LSD lately?) Read some books first on driving technique and basic automotive. You don't need to be an expert but you should understand the basics behind vehicle dynamics and systems that affect car attitude.

Now that I've shared that I will share this... Drifting is like the figure skating of motorsport. Cars go out and slide around on a surface trying to look "pretty" to get scored by a panel of judges for something that otherwise serves no other practicality. With that said, keep drifting if you want... But I suspect you like figure skating now too.

wooooo. silly me, blaming other things.

the tires and cold have a bit to do with it. left over rain in lot at noon, much better.

but what i think did it for me, was driving position, i made a few changes, and i realize my mistake before was my countersterring. i couldn't counter steer fast enough or as well from me sitting about 4 inches too far.

yes i know what an lsd is.

and thanks guys. everyone should go sit in the "proper" position (i was a bit too far away. 4 inches made a huge difference. thats what she said)

I had a problem with my first RX-8 in the rain. When I got it it had Cooper's on it and was somewhat unpredictable in the wet. I switched to a set of Yokohama Sport S and that solved it. I just got another RX-8 and again it's funny in the wet. This problem was mentioned on "Top Gear" as well.
