RX8 R3 Horrible Base?

Just wondering if any of you guys or gals are experience the same thing. The BASS in the rx8 with the BOSE audio system has shitty base?

I set the base to 6 on the dash and still dont feel like its pumping?

What were you expecting...?

Although, it is possible that you have blown a fuse, a loose/damaged wire, or maybe even blown speaker.

Base?

It's bass...

The factory system won't have bass that rattles the license plate frame and whatnot... if that's what you want (ugh), then install a subwoofer.

you're not hearing the bass you wanted before because the stock stereo is actually balanced somewhat. Unlike other cars that let you turn up the bass and distort all other parts of the range the 8 won't do that just to sacrifice everything else.

If you want real bass then you need to install a sub.

the OP keeps saying base...
Is illiteracy still a problem there? I mean, even to set the damn bass in the car you have to browse through the settings and READ it. Bass.

RX8 never came with factory subs, you not getting deep bass like some of the cars.
my BMW got this HK sound system including two factory subs. they are not the deepest sub, but clearly better than my R3.

BOSE engineers the systems to reproduce clear, ACCURATE sound.

If you want thump, don't buy BOSE.

If I wanted more bass, I'd go fishing.

The answer is yes, but a follow up question is "where?", seeing we have no clarification of "there".

Editing thread titles I believe is a privilege given only to those in power (i.e. not the OP).

BOSE is trash! It sucked when I had iit in my twin turbo Z, it sucked in my Maxima , and never wanted to experience a third time. BOSE and base is like oil and water, they don't go together at all. Like others mentioned , if you want base go and rip out the BOSE system for another brand.

Personally, I really like the factory Bose stereo. But then again, I'm not looking to ensure that everyone in a six block radius can hear my choice in music. I'm actually a bit surprised that anyone would think their factory system would be "pumping".

Of course, by spending several hundred dollars (more than a grand, realistically), you can definitely upgrade to better. But that's going to be true with any factory setup.

The bose system - IMHO - is a good compromise but certainly not the most punchy and powerful system.

Also, some of you might need to have hearing test done!!!

IMHO - Bose product is - at best - marginal. The system in the 8 is just good. Not great. Not outstanding. Ive heard / had Bose in other cars - same thing, just okay. Their home audio - just okay. Same thing - marketing overhype.

One exception - ever heard the Bose system that came stock in Third Gen RX-7 ?
Very unique wave design. It sounds incredible. I **** you not.
