rx8 lost power and it doesn't go over 2000rpm
Hey,
I have a 05 mazda rx8. i got a problem and I was wondering if anyone knows whats going on with it. I changed the oil on it myself and i messed up like an idiot and filled it with too much oil. i noticed after i drove it around and it started pushing out a lot of white smoke so i drained the extra oil out . after 3 days of that my car lost power and it was taking forever to speed up. it also starts making noises after i hit 2000rpm and a noise comes on from the engine. now I have a test pipe so its not because of the catalytic converter is clogged. anyone has any idea?
i know i messed up I'm Dumb like that

Smoking turbo yay
Pull your intake system off. It's likely that you have some oil in the accordion tube and even the airbox.
I have overfilled a little bit before as well, and luckily, nothing happened. If you don't know how much you drained out, pour in 2 litres/quarts in first and check your dipstick, then add in the appropriate amount according to the dipstick.

What everyone else said, take your intake apart and clean it, clean your MAF sensor, then do the 20 brake pedal stomp to reset the NVRAM.
