oh yea, for sure. it's the leather that gets to me really; and something about how they lay down the interior that just never impressed me.

I got a 2007 TSX with nav a few months ago. I'm surprised how many people here don't like it.

It's not the prettiest car out there, but it's far from ugly. The kitted ones look great and sporty.

Interior is very nice, great fit and finish, great materials, but my nav system is less than intuitive. The nav functions are great, but I find myself poking around dangerously to try and control my fan/temps using the screen, since it replaces the ***** and buttons. Yes there is auto climate control, but it is horribly stupid at doing it's job. Another gripe is the heated mirrors. THere's a FREAKING BUTTON you need to push to activate the heat, it's not auto.

But overall, the ride is very good for a car in this price range. Power is decent, in fact more potent than people think. Chassis was actually a bit of a letdown (from all the raves about it), but I guess the RX-8 has me spoiled. Ride, noise levels are great. Engine is quiet at cruising speeds, but sounds like a bore at vtec. Another small gripe I have though is the low hoodline. I can't see **** in the car, so it's pretty hard to park.

And to whoever said it's an Accord, yeah it is a JDM/Euro Accord. But it is a totally different machine from the NA Accord, which is a fat cow made for oversized people.

Forgot to mention the CRAZY gas mileage...averaging 8.5L/100km, while my RX-8 averages 14-15L/100km.

Don't sweat it dude... I just got a Civic Si Sedan and I'm loving every minute of it too.

Not saying I don't love my RX-8... I just can't justify what its doing to my wallet anymore.

Exactly. There is no shame in downgrading as long as the reasons are valid.

it's a very nice choice. it's obviously in a different category but priorities are priorities so i think you did the right thing. if you were saying you got it to get more power or b/c it was a sportier car i'd say you were on crack but you didn't. you got it for what it is and did hte right thing. enjoy.

I was first referring to the bloke who got a civic. Nevertheless the tsx is a downgrade to me in terms of performance, handling, looks, cool factor and exclusivity. But not as much as the civic.

Good choices imo. These are the 2 cars I have in the garage (tsx 6spd and rx-8 6spd), but I have to say 9 of 10 times I take my rx-8 despite the poor fuel economy. It is just a lot more fun to drive.

I test drove a TSX. Very nice car indeed for a sedan. I like the 8 much more because it's got the true sportscar feel and size. AWD fusion is also a nice sedan for snow climates. I don't need to drive much so i save gas by less joy riding in the 8. I spend more time joy riding my bike in the summer. The TSX is good on fuel but low on joy riding.

You might get poor mileage with the 8, but atleast you will have joy driving it. TSX will have a poor mileage if you drive hard. Problem is, there's still no joy.

My gf has a TSX. I love the interior, it's great for relaxed cruising. While the gas milage is better than the 8, it's still not very good considering it's an under powered 4 cylinder. I think she averages about 21 mpg.

Unless you plan to hit the autocross or track I'd gladly take a new TSX and a $50 less payment over a RX-8 any day. Much nicer, no cheap plastics and rattles, or foggy taillights, engine recalls etc etc etc. I say you made a good choice and I don't miss owning my 8, although I do love autocrossing them.

Plus many of you don't realize the K20 is probably the best production 4 cylinder ever made, yes even better than the S2000 F20/F22C. Some RSX-S guys with a mild cam and a few boltons are reliably making 230-240 whp all motor, I'd love to see the day a Renesis does that.

I agree with some of the other posters, the TSX is not a downgrade, it is just different. I like them and I am sure you will enjoy it, congrats.

My dad is driving a TSX as a company car, I drove it extensively, its a very very nice car. IMO I think its underpowered, but it still gets up and goes. I think theyre cool looking. Theyre in a different category as the RX8, its not a sports coupe. Its a mid-size sedan. So........everyone........lets compare the TSX to other mid-size sedans!!! Okay, I would take the TSX over the accord, Altima, and Ford Fusion also if I was looking for a luxury FWD to carry the fam......GOOD CHOICE. Have fun with it
i agree, it being what it is, its a nice car, theres one here in the parkin lot at work, and it grabs my attention....oh well good luck and enjoy

For a compact sedan, the first generation TSX is a good value. Its peppy with the manual and handles well for a FWD sedan. It did make C&Ds Ten Best for 3 years. The new 09 model is disappointing though.

In Europe it's an Accord AND it's priced as such. Here you get to pay more than an Accord...oh, lucky us!

But the Euro Accord generally drives better than ours--which caters to cushy fat Americans.

Simple, anyone who sells their Rx8 and posts their new purchase pretty much gets flamed. It's like the masses can't handle it. Doesn't matter how loved you were in the forum prior, your abused senselessly afterwards.

Forum folk are just so sincere.................that's a NOT joke.

TSX is a good choice. I personally don't care for the exterior aesthetics however, I was pleased with the features and comfortability of the interior. Good choice and enjoy.

First and foremost, arguing on the internet is like competing in the Special Olympics, even if you win, you're still retarded.

I just picked up my TSX today and I must say, it's pretty sweet. There is allot of tech in car, and there is a day or two of a learning curve to get used to the NAVI, voice and integrated Bluetooth. It rides nice and is comfortable. It has good pep after 6500rpm. I put about 200km so far, and the gas meter barely budged. I think the interior fit and finish is well refined, great materials and overall great design. Yes I agree the exterior is a little bland, but I have a set of 19's that are going to enhance the look. Ordered the trunk lip and going to review a chip, CAI and exhaust that will add about 25 to 35 at wheel HP. That should put me in the same range, if not a little quicker than the 8 stock.

Acura is basically giving away these cars as they are making room for the 09 model. I have about 12months left of lease payments on the 8, so when I went to Acura to check out the deals, they were discounting the TSX at $6000.00 off the MSRP + %1.9 rates and so on. I made a deal from the MSRP which was a $50.00 less of a payment on a 48month term lease, less than my 8, and I had the option of receiving a check cut for the $6k right into my pocket. THAT BASICALLY MEANS I DONT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS FOR A WHOLE YEAR!!!!! Now that **** is amazing!!! The reasons why I made the choice to buy the car is explained on my first post.....new family.....gas...and so on.

When I went to Mazda I found some disgusting news on the 8. My VR, 05 is in mint condition with about 55000km, well below the allowed amount. The owner from the dealership sat down with me and said there is so much negative equity on the 8's now that no one is getting out of these things with out a hefty loss. You know now you can buy the same 8 conditions as mine for about $16k! that’s horrible. So as far as making a buyout deal, I’m S.O.L. I would have to commit to the full lease term payment s to return the car. Not worth the hassle. As I still love the car, I am going to keep it around until I find someone to take over the remainder lease. I think it will be the weekend car for now, lol.

In my opinion, the 08 TSX with it’s current discount offering makes it the best car to own right now BAR NONE, in terms of current comparable price range vehicles.

There are allot of FANBOYS that talk down to anything other than the car they own which is pretty pathetic. I totally appreciate self opinion, but it's hard to take most of the comments here seriously......
