So my girlfriend finds it ridiculous/hilarious that I blog on this website all day. I tried explaining that you guys are all my friends, and everyone thats not on this website and drives an rx8 is my friend too. She drives a Yaris and just doesnt understand! I mean seriously, you guys help me more than my real friends! Saved me a bunch of money and are there when I need you. I love you guys. She's gonna be reading all the posts on this, please explain in your own words why you like this site.

WE ARE THE Mac Nerds of the car world....

I have given away a few G's worth of parts; a bunch of "strangers" have my number from here. I have visited RX8'ers in NEWFOUNDLAND from Hawaii.... I have flown people in to my house from here. People from this site have sent me a thousand dollars or more worth of parts to "test" all on trust....

I know that I could drive from CA to VA and never pay for a hotel if I put a new thread on this site...

Seems like a bunch of friends to me; what else would you want?

We are owners of the only production rotary car in the world which makes us such a tight niche.

There is always something new to learn about the car here. We have terrible customer service from the stealerships, so where else can we go to for help...this is our haven, the RX8 club.

 

To clarify.... we are in fact all basically gay.

Hell, my wife is more jealous of my car (and this site) than she ever has been about other women.

 

My lady is all the time askin' in a whiney voice " You on the rx8club agggggaaaiiinnn?" I respond with "Shut up woman and go bake me a pie!" I think her hearing is bad, she never bakes me a pie........
I also tell her to just "sit in her tower, queen of all nay sayers. Rain down your negativity, I don't care.... I have a negativity umbrella".

I mentioned to her the other day that she was the sort of girl that I could bring home an $83 million lotto ticket and she would still ask if I had any cash on me.

I told her father the other day "I need to get your daughter pregnant again, just to not have to deal with her pms."

My girl and I have the absolute best relationship. It truley is fun and games 99% of the time. Of course I beare all blame for the 1% bullshit........... She knows how much I love my car and how much this site's DIY has helped me save moolah! So thanks ladies and gents and I use the term ladies loosely. As I am sure you ladies burp, fart and curse more than we fellas.

 

Hahaha, that's funny. I always update my boyfriend on the stuff that's going on on this site, but he's cool with it because he loves my car almost as much as I do!

Seriously though this site is great because it basically one stop shopping. Having problems with you car? RX8 club has the answer. Need to buy or sell parts for your RX8? You can do it here. Need DIY instructions for installing ________ part? RX8 club has it. Want to pass long boring hours at work? RX8 club has the solution. Want to feel better about your self because all of your other friends think your too obsessed with your car and your neighbors think you should start a detailing business because your car looks amazing and clean all the time regardless of the weather conditions. Your support group is here to help at RX8 club.

 

Because we're a great group of ppl with a similar interest and don't go hating on others. It's a nice place to come and share thoughts, experiences and so on as well as meet up to talk in person about the cars and so much more.

seriously tho - I agree w/you on this community being one of my favorite communities in the car world. I've been in a couple communities along the way to this car and none of them are even close to this.

Out of all the forums i vist, this is by far the best. i think its even better then the japanese nissan forums that me and my friends from japan post on. ppl here are very cool indeed. Plus we get to make fun of shinkateen and his avatar every day

 

I like the site because its a large group of FRIENDLY people that have alot of knowledge about the rotary. unfortunatly you can just take this car to any mechanic and have it fixed so other then getting raped at the dealer for labor its easier to just do it yourself, or have one of the guys from here give you a hand

 

This is a cool forum community...very even handed when discussing other makes and marques. As long as you share enthusiasm for the 8 you are welcome here. Even though I don't own an 8 anymore I choose to hang out here more than the BMW forums.

Because this site turned a several thousand dollar expense into an very profitable investment in daily happiness.....(takes another hit)....what the heck did I just say?

 

I think driving the only current rotary powered production car creates a sense of solidarity. It is somewhat of an elite club because only people who truly appreciate an amazing car will buy an 8.

I love getting thumbs up from other 8 drivers I see on the road. Never had that with any other car.
