RX8 driving....
i dunno if this is bad, but i heard keep the cars revs under 3ks is bad for the seals correct?. So therefore i always drive between 3-5k revs whenever i can, is this a good idea?
edit: would installing a turbo timer into a non turbo'd rx8, to let it idle and cool off and shut it self down a good idea?

You should try to keep your car under 3k when it's warming up, but after that, you can drive basically at any rev, the only thing is that you should atlleast do some spirited driving every now and then (redlining the car) to get rid of the carbon buildup...atleast that's wut I've been told.

Nothing is going to happen if you drive under 3k, reving to 9k helps clean out the carbon. On a side note if your in 6th gear at 25-30 mph then your wasting gas and lugging the engine.

Guys guys guys
You keep the rev under 3k when you've just started it up, before it's warm
When it's warmed up, it's recommended to rev it to at least 8500rpm (manual) and 6000rpm (autotragic) once a day to clean carbon out.
You can ONLY shut the car down after it has been warmed (temp. needle around half way)
If you're going to shut it down cold, rev it to 3k rpm (I don't know if this works 100% though, anyhow don't abuse it)

Ok I'm a little lost here but for normal cruising I keep the revs around 3-3750 rpm's but very frequently take it up to 9k .....remember a redline a day keeps the carbon away!

WTF have you been? Vacation?
Anyway, just think of it as a normal car, except it's best to redline it once a day. How hard was that.
