Hey guys im still looking for that ''perfect'' one I just can't decide on a color

I was thinking about white but it seems a lil too feminine for me

so now i can't really decide between the gun metal grey color or the red

Any one els have this problem before choosing your rx8? If so how did you make up your mind?

 

In my mind there are only 2 colors you should consider and they are Black or the Red.

If I had the money to get an 8 for myself I'd pick up a black one because it's my favorite color.

So what I'm trying to say is get one that is closest to your favorite color.

 

If I could go back in time, I would buy the white one instead of what I have now.

 

metro gray, closest to gun metal, but only for 40th anniversery edition

 

I fell in love with Stormy Blue Mica, but you can't get it on the new ones. I think just '06 and '07, am I right? Anyway, my '07 in SBM is slick looking.

Although I love my Black Cherry Mica (looks black in low light), it's awfully hard to keep clean. By contrast, my daughter's silver Mazda6 always looks good and is a lot cooler in the Summer (although her black seats get a lot hotter than my parchment (beige).

Black looks great all shined up, as does Red, but again, requires eternal vigilance.

 

Black Cherry Red is what it's all about. This car changes color from every single angle you look at it. It's a different color at night, in the morning, broad day light, overcast...

40th anni Metro Grey is also beautiful and a great second choice. Has a color range kind of like the Black Cherry Red but not quite as dynamic.

I waited patiently for months, watching dealer inventories on-line, for a Sunlight Silver with the options package I wanted to show-up. I've owned several silver cars over the years, it's my favorite "color".

My second choice would have been Whitewater Pearl, had SS not been available.

 

People ask me if my car has a custom paint job because of the flake in it.
Its an 04 VR

 

I'd say Velocity Red, Brilliant Black, or Blue

 

Black looks great, but only just after you wash it. I like Galaxy Gray because it looks classy without being flashy, and not too likely to catch a cop's eye.

But I don't think that anyone can decide what your favorite color is but you. Go to car lots and look at the different colors.

 

damn had no idea there was such a variety of colors out there

i'll prolly go with the red just because i like the way the front tires look with the red around the vent area

You do know there is another red...Copper Red!!
and don't worry about the colour. The right one will reveal itself. I remember i was on here once asking for advice on which colour to get. When i saw a Copper Red RX-8 i knew instantly that would the perfect colour for me 8.

 

Black Cherry Mica on the '05 Shinka was a major reason for my purchase. The color you should have will call to you like a Siren's song.

 

With the current color selection, I'd say WWP, BB or VR. What's your usage? If it will be a daily driver and some mileage, I'd lean more towards WWP or VR - silvers do not stand out IMHO, to me they are kind of bland and blend in with traffic.
