My roomate, when I lived in Waco, had his car broke into a couple of times along with a few others parked in the same area (they got my Eclipse once, but never my 8). We suspected the young thieves were coming from the apartments across the street. We were pretty sure they would bust out windows, then run back across the street and hide at the apartments to see if anyone was alarmed, then would come back and look for goods in the cars. Anytime he heard his alarm go off or one that sounded like it or nearby (and once when we actually heard glass break on someone else's car) he was out the door with a loaded Glock, pacing up and down the parking lot with it up in the air, taunting them to come back (you can get away with stuff like this is Waco). No cars were ever broken into at that area again as long as we still lived there.

I just shown those pictures to my friend (he is a professional in ... cough) he said that the whoever tried to steal your car must be a fuxking moron. No one can start a car with immobilizer like this
He also said that it will cost you an arm & leg to fix it, cuz usually they will try to break ur lock into turning first, if that failed (obviously thats what happened to you), they will rip whatever wires they see thats attached to the ignition to see if it will start. Once they fail, they will usually run as fast as they can and will not come back to the area for a loooooong while.
Hope your insurance covers it, now its time to put more locks to ur car. or park ur car at someplace else thats safer.

its the vandalizers that **** me off more than the people that attempt to steal your car. the fuxking haters that key or break your glass or dent it or w/e because they cant get their own.. that pisses me off moreso then some ambitious punks 'attempting' to get a joyride in.
